The CP9175 is the next generation of Actron Scan tools. The CP9175 has more features and benefits than other code readers on the market and is a major step-up from our very popular CP9135 tool. The CP9175 is trilingual (displays in English, Spanish or French) and easily links to your 1996 and later OBDII compliant vechicle, American and import cars and trucks. Large easy-to-read LCD screen allows you to view the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and their descriptions as generated by your vehicles onboard computers, leading you to the trouble area. It displays freeze frame data ( snapshot of the operating conditions at time of fault),erases the DTC and turns off the Check Engine Light! I/M readiness test allows you to determine if your vehicle is ready for an emissions test. This is an excellent function to use prior to having your vehicle inspected for compliance to state emissions programs. This scanner does everything it says it does. It is very easy to use and accurately reads the codes causing the issue. It is well worth the cost, considering you can use it on any car built after 1996.

I bought this to verify independently the meaning of a "Check Engine" light whose repair was to be quite expensive. I have had trouble with repairs made following prior interpretations of this light in the past. The device connected as explained in the documentation. It gave me the verification I wanted. My use is only occasional for information, so I can't address how it might perform as a mechanic's tool.

Before I bought this product I tryed a diffrent brand scanner from a friend. It could not get past my aftermarket security system on my car. After doing some research I bought the Actron CP9175. This is an amazing scanner for what it can do at a great price. It has no problems with my aftermarket security system, and I like how it displays a brief discription of the problem along with the error code.

I've been quite satisfied with this product It's very user friendly and so far accurate. Time will tell about it's life time of use. It's saved me money from having to go to dealerships to read codes.

It works and it's easy to use. Can't say anything bad about but then again I have only used it on one vehicle.
